What happens if you cannot find the defendant to serve papers?

Bond Rees are determined process servers and will try other addresses or locations that the defendant may be at if they evade service at their home address. 

If the defendant has moved or relocated or gone into hiding, Bond Rees are able to provide person tracing and debtor tracing as an additional service to resolve this.

In the rare event that we are unable to serve the defendant in person, we will assist our client to gain consent for third-party or substituted service and proceedings will continue to progress.

Will my personal information be secure?

What is a process server not legally allowed to do?

Process servers cannot force entry to private property, use threat, force, intimidation, or aggression to achieve service, and cannot pose as another professional such as a police officer or court official.

Certain legal documents need to be delivered in person with proof of identity being obtained from the defendant or recipient, and evidence provided that service has been undertaken so cannot be completed via email.
