Bond Rees adhere to legal service requirements and conduct all process serving with respect and awareness of the responsibility and consequence of this role.
Our professional process servers will ensure that they gather all the personal information they need from you including any unique or individual needs or stipulations that we can accommodate into our process for our clients.
Bond Rees will carry out three in person attendances at the home or primary serving location to provide process serving and will verify proof of identity prior to service.
If the home address fails to facilitate process service, our process servers will persist with attempts at other premises indicated to offer opportunity for service such as a place of work or home of a partner, relative, or friend.
If the defendant is deemed to be present at the address but not engaging with service our private investigator will make use of appropriate tactics to encourage contact and if it becomes clear that a defendant has absconded or relocated, we can also assist with person or debtor tracing services to resolve this issue.
In the unlikely situation that we are unable to finalise service, Bond Rees will ensure that our client is provided with all needed information and proof to facilitate application for third-party or substituted service and prevent avoidable delays to proceedings.
Once we have concluded process serving, we will update our client and equip them with all required confirmation of this such as a statement of service.
What can a process server not do?
A process server is not allowed to force entry to private property, use threat, force, or intimidation to achieve service, or impersonate another professional such as a police officer or court official.
What information does a process server need to undertake service?
We will require the full name and address of the defendant and it is also helpful for us to have a current photo of them, their date of birth, who they live with, and any other locations that they attend on a regular basis.
If you only have basic details, do not be concerned, as we are able to undertake service with minimal information if necessary.
How will I know when process serving has been completed?
Bond Rees will let you know as soon as the process server has successfully completed service and provide you with correct documentation where appropriate to evidence this, and we can also provide photographic evidence if required.
What if the target for my legal document changes address?
Just let Bond Rees know this information as soon as you become aware, and we will be able to move the location of service; we cover the whole of the UK and have private detective teams located and available throughout, so this won’t be an issue for us!
