Where it is suspected that the defendant is present at the address but evading service, our process servers will employ legitimate tactics to encourage contact and facilitate opportunity for service, and we can provide person or debtor tracing in situation or extreme avoidance or possible relocation.

Process Server FAQs

Can summons be served by email?

Specific legal documents, including summons, need to be delivered to the concerned party in person and verification of their identity and adequate evidence of service obtained so cannot be served via email.

Can a defendant try to trick a process server?

It is not uncommon for defendants to try to evade or trick process servers and Bond Rees are highly experienced in detecting this and have many strategies to counter such behaviour. There are also many other options to complete process serving such as substituted service and trying to trick a server will not stop proceedings or benefit the defendant in the long term.

How will I know when process serving has been completed?

Bond Rees will let you know as soon as the process server has successfully completed service and provide you with correct documentation where appropriate to evidence this, and we can also provide photographic evidence if required.

What if the target for my legal document moves?

Just let Bond Rees know this information as soon as you become aware, and we will be able to move the location of service; we cover the whole of the UK and have British investigators located and available throughout so this won’t be an issue for us!
