Our British investigators are based throughout the UK at our numerous branches and are fully trained in the serving of all legal papers and equipped with the skill sets and abilities to serve any avoidant or aggressive defendants and firmly yet diplomatically deal with any incidents of conflict or disorder that arise.

Bond Rees are fully aware that process serving is often undertaken in regard to emotive or antagonistic circumstances for the defendants and individuals concerned and we always seek to minimise stress and aggravation and prevent further inflammation of conflict between parties especially in matters of family law.

If Bond Rees cannot, on the rare occasion, complete service, we will furnish our clients with all documentation required to facilitate application for substituted service or third-party service and help in any way we can to minimise delay to proceedings.

Our Process

Bond Rees respond quickly to process serving requests and will attend the home address or primary serving location as soon as documents are in our possession and our client has agreed for us to proceed, and gain proof of defendant or individual identity and serve legal papers in person, by hand.

If the first attempt fails, we will make 3 further attempts to serve at the home address and then move on to trying other locations such as the place of work or any other known locations that the target is suspected to regularly attend to continue to attempt service.

Our experienced process servers will never use any illegal or irresponsible methods of achieving service and will conduct themselves in a respectful and legitimate manner, whilst also making use of resources and techniques to attempt to achieve service where the target is evasive.

If serving is impossible to complete, we make sure our client has all the documentation, reports, and evidence needed to request consent for substituted service or third-party service and we can then carry this out as additional work for our clients.

Bond Rees process servers provide all necessary paperwork to evidence that service has been completed such as a certificate or statement of service or Sworn Affidavit.

Process Server FAQs

What locations do Bond Rees provide process serving in?

Bond Rees can undertake process serving anywhere in the UK and can also act as a UK agent for individuals or organisations located overseas.

Can someone hide from a process server?

The defendant has no obligation to facilitate serving and can hide (and this is a common response) from the process server if they choose to do so.

However, there are many other options to achieve process serving or serve notice of this if need be and an evasive defendant will not prevent proceedings from progressing or benefit in any way from hiding from the server.

Will proceedings have to stop if you can’t serve someone?

There are many further options if a defendant or individual evades service such as substituted service and other means used to give notice; proceedings will not terminate if initial attempts to serve are unsuccessful.

How quickly can you serve my legal document?

Bond Rees have experienced process servers available at all times across the UK and can provide service as soon as you require.
